We are pleased to highlight the work of artist Grant Olsen, our August 2018 artist of the month.

Grant’s full-time art career began in 2002; in that time his work has evolved through experimentation within a wide range of mediums stretching from painting, to sewing, to now mainly digital. Grant’s art can now be found in almost all four corners of the city. He has also exhibited in galleries in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Portland. He received a fellowship in visual arts from the State of Idaho and was featured in the 2004 Triennial Exhibition at the Boise Art Museum.

We are pleased to highlight the work of artist Allie Zeyer, our July 2018 artist of the month. 

“The richness of painting from life,  whether in the studio or outdoors,  is where I find myself as an artist.”

Allie Zeyer grew up watching her dad, Michael Hadley, paint and sell his work in Jackson, WY.  Zeyer received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Brigham Young University and recently studied under nationally recognized artists: Jill Carver, G. Russell Case and Kathryn Stats in Sun Valley, Idaho. Since then, she has participated in several plein air competitions and won several awards. She received first place two consecutive years in a row at the Eagle Plein Air Festival in Idaho for their quick draw event.

We are pleased to highlight the work of artist Brooke Burton, our June 2018 artist of the month.

Brooke Burton lives and works in Boise as an artist and photographer recently exhibiting work at the 2017 Triennial exhibition at the Boise Art Museum.  She is a writer and photographer for the City of Boise’s Art & History Department blog in addition to teaching workshops and classes.  Her personal aesthetic fluctuates between minimalist and maximalist compositions, often reflecting her love of miniatures.  Themes of interest include still-life, selfies, visual culture, and novelty of all kinds.  Her work often uses inanimate objects as a means of storytelling and exploring human narratives.

We are pleased to highlight the work of artist Kylene Collette, our May 2018 artist of the month.

Kylene Collette is a proudly South African export currently residing in Boise, Idaho. She has designed over 100 retail stores, created branding for a successful student accommodation group and worked as Head of Crafts for a children’s television show. Her artwork has been displayed at NfiniT Gallery in Boise, Idaho. She is an exhibiting member of the Treasure Valley Artist’s Alliance and was the City of Eagle’s Artist of the Month, exhibiting at City Hall in March 2016. Collette is currently the on-campus Interior Designer for Boise State University.
